Our cottage is in Varzy, Burgundy. Easily sleeps 6 and can sleep around 10 with fold-out beds in attic and sitting room, and even more if you bring your own sleeping bags. This is basically a home away from home and we’ve made sure it’s provisioned with basically everything you’ll need!

Cottage contains:
- 3 separate bedrooms, one with ensuite.
- 2 additional bathrooms with shower and toilet.
- Small sitting area on ground floor, with a fold-out sofa. (Not a large area)
- Dining/entrance area and small kitchen, easily sit 6 at the table.
- An extra room on ground floor where you can store all your luggage etc.
- All your linen and towels, as well as some toiletries and cleaning products.
- A top-floor attic (living room), with original wooden beams, fold out bed and furniture, accessed by spiral staircase. A flat-screen smart TV which you can watch your own Netflix account, digital channels, youtube etc.
- Oodles of books! Enough wine glasses, plates, cutlery and kitchenware for more than 25 people!
- A small courtyard, pots of various herbs, table, chairs and umbrella.
- A semi-stocked bar in the attic that you can use, and top up before you leave for the next booking! It’s based on an honesty system. If you drink it, buy a replacement bottle.
- Extraordinarily fast Internet (beats anything we get in Australia).
- Fridge, oven, toaster, kettle, washing machine, iron, portable clothes line. Everything you need to cook a Sunday roast. Also a small electric bbq for courtyard use.
- A space to park the car in front of our shed. Further car parking in the next street if you have more than one car.
Rental period:
- Saturday is the changeover day and bookings are for a week minimum.
- Saturday arrive at 4pm, leave following Saturday at 10am (unless otherwise advised).
- Discounts for longer bookings and off-season (ask for information).
Prices:
- All bookings must be paid in Australian Dollars to our CBA bank account.
- High Season (Summer – June, July, August): A$1150 per week for the entire house for 6 people. Works out to around $27.30 per person, per night, for the week.
- Extra people A$75 each per week.
- Rest of the year: $1100 per week for the entire house.
- Compulsory cleaning fee – all bookings must leave a cash payment for cleaning on your last day of 60 euros. If there are more than 6 people this may be a larger amount. (If you are booking through Air BNB the cleaning fee will be included in your costs, you don’t need to leave this payment.)
